EMACHINES EL1210-09 (12/28/08)
Description:
I have bought this for $10.00 at a thrift store last year. Wanted to use it for the basement but the idea got cancelled.
Front of Computer
Back of Computer
The back is pretty much straightforward. The upper left outlet is for power. Exhaust fan under the outlet for the PSU.
The motherboard I/O connections are keyboard, mouse, HDMI, VGA, USBs, eSATA, Ethernet, and more USBs. The round holes are for audio. The pair of metallic bars are the expansion card's slots. First one is modem. The other one is empty but made for graphic cards. This machine can take only low profile expansion cards. |
Internal General View
Cramped looking space. But well planned. Everything fits nicely without causing problems with other parts. Even the graphic card slot space is well planned. You can put in a long graphic card. Up to against the front face. (Not sure of how long a graphic card can be, not even sure if there's such a long card in low profile form.)

Modem Card
Dial up modem by LSI. Dial up modem in a 2008 machine? For those who can't afford cable. Cheaper to use the phone line. Model of this card is Concorde C40. Don't let the Concorde name fool you. 56k is nothing fast.
Looks like they did away with the irritating screechy noise these things made as you connected as I don't see the speaker for it. |
