TANDY 1000RL 25-1450 (09/20/90)
Description:
I have bought this computer at the local thrift store in Laurel for $7.90. Not a bad price considering this machine cost $750 new in 1990! It's my oldest computer I own. Assembled in September 20th 1990 according to a date stamp on the front bezel. Added this computer to my website on its 25th birthday! I don't have a CGA monitor to test it. So it's unknown if it works.

Random Access Memory
The pair of empty IC sockets is for the optional RAM chips of 128 kilobytes each. I'm not sure what goes in the big socket. 512 kilobytes of memory standard on this computer. You can't swap them without some serious soldering work. The big black connector next to the 2X2 group is for the hard drive. The white connector with the 1X4 group is for the power feeding the motherboard.
